Artist's Statement
These paintings were inspired by school gyms: the dated color combinations, the overlapping grids on the floor marking boundaries for various sports.
Story
I pretended that the lines on the gym floor were force fields, and anyone who ran outside of them would be electrocuted. I stared at people's feet, wondering who was about to die.
